CMS Updates to SOM Take Effect on March 24th

In November, the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services issued “significant revisions” to its long-term care surveyor guidance, scheduled to take effect on March 24, 2025. These revisions reflect emerging trends in deficiency citations; most notably, the continued focus on psychotropics.
