FDA Revises Emergency Use Authorization for Paxlovid
The FDA has announced a change regarding Paxlovid, stating that product manufactured and labeled in accordance with the Emergency Use Authorization is now only authorized for use through the expiration date or through March 8, 2024, whichever is earlier. NDA-labeled Paxlovid will, however, maintain emergency use authorization for the treatment of mild-to-moderate COVID-19 in some patients who are at high risk for progression to severe COVID-19.
