This webinar is the 3rd event in a series of 4, presented in partnership with NADONA. Are you getting questions from staff or surveyors regarding insulin usage in your LTC facility? This session is for you! Join us as we discuss the use of insulin in LTC and the need to follow standards of practice in the areas of insulin administration and storage.

  • List the steps of receipt and labeling of insulin vials and pens

Presented by:
Deb Bostic, RN, MSN, HCAM, CMNL, CDONA, is a nursing leader with over 25 years of leadership experience dedicated to patient-centered care and evidence-based quality healthcare. She possesses strong leadership and management skills, with experience in multiple processes of long-term care, including sub-acute, dementia care, assisted living, geriatric care, medical/surgical, orthopedics, telemetry, and critical care.

Matthew J. Palmer, PharmD, BCGP, is a Manager of Clinical Operations for PharMerica. He provides and oversees clinical pharmacy services to skilled nursing and assisted living facilities throughout the region.  Matt is a board certified geriatric pharmacist with over 17 years experience in the Long-term care arena.  Matt has a Bachelors of Science from the University of Wisconsin - La Crosse and a Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the University of Wisconsin – Madison.
