Understanding the New Long Stay Antipsychotic Quality Measure, Part 2:
Compliance, Operational, & Regulatory Requirements
This fast-paced program is designed to complete the Clinical, Operational, and Regulatory changes in the March 2026 update of the Quality Measure #(N047.01).
It will discuss policy development for documentation in the medical record and, for the IDT, define compliance and MDS coding requirements. This discussion will include the policies for Medical Directors, prescribers, clinical leadership, and pharmacists. Examples of proper documentation and diagnostic coding will be given. This new measure also includes many new requirements for G.D.R. programs with authorization dates and prescriber decision dates with clinical rationale. Involvement of the entire operational, clinical and care management team is much more specific, with data from the MDS database and claims data from non-long-term care sources. The role of the Consultant Pharmacist and specific accountability for policies, education and compliance documentation will be defined.
This is a must-attend session to review and discuss all of these new requirements, which will bring the entire team into a more coordinated, elder-specific action plan with new data and responsibilities.
